Wendeline Matson

A resident of Tulsa OK, Wendy Matson received her bachelor's degree in fine art from the University of Arkansas in 1999. The young painter, whose work (primarily still life) is beginning to gain national recognition, made the decision to pursue painting full-time after graduation. While Wendy admits the decision wasn't an easy one, she chose to heed the advice of her mother, whose words of encouragement were "Pursue your dreams. You can do what you want; you only live once".

"I really like the still-life setting" says Wendy of her preferred format. Rendered mostly in acrylics and oil pastels, her current pieces reflect an enthusiasm for interior design.
